SIM prices are as of November 6, 2026. For in-person activation, do not buy a SIM in advance. You buy the SIM and activate at the dealer you booked.
If your phone has a KT unpaid history
KT Baro SIM may not be recognized on a phone with a KT unpaid or overdue history. If you keep using that phone, choose an LG SIM. If you use another spare or unlocked phone with no unpaid history, go ahead with KT.
Check before you buy a SIM
- For a KT SIM, enter the number that starts with 8982. For an LG SIM, enter the model name and serial number.
- Skylife SIMs can’t be used.
- eSIM works only when you activate with LG.
SIM and eSIM: frequently asked questions
Can I buy any SIM?
No. Use Baro SIM for KT, and Modu One-Chip SIM or Daiso GoGoB SIM for LG. Skylife SIMs can’t be used.
Can I keep using my old SIM?
No. A SIM you used before cannot be reused. Please prepare a new SIM that works with N-Telecom.
Where do I buy a SIM?
Buy Baro SIM at CU, GS25, Emart24, or 7-Eleven; One-Chip SIM at Emart24, Baemin B Mart, or Storyway; and GoGoB SIM at Daiso.
What is NFC?
It is the feature needed to use a transit card stored on the SIM. Baro SIM and One-Chip SIM have it; GoGoB SIM does not.
I activated but my transit card doesn’t work.
First check whether your SIM has NFC. GoGoB SIM has no NFC. On a Galaxy, you can also use a transit card saved inside the Samsung Wallet app.
My SIM is locked. Where is the PUK number?
It is printed on the plastic card the SIM came attached to. If you threw the card away, look it up at a center or replace the SIM. If you keep entering it wrong, it can be locked permanently.
Does my number change if I change the SIM?
No. Your number stays the same. When you submit a SIM change, there is a credit check as a pre-check.
I lost my phone.
On a weekday, changing the SIM is the most efficient option. For KT, you can also suspend the line for loss. The base fee is still deducted while suspended.
